DUC’S S STORY
Hello everyone, my full name is Tran Viet Tai Duc – an alumna of Hue University. Currently, I am a Management Trainee of Supply chain department in Carlsberg's Vietnam. My journey to Carlberg Tomorrow Leader is not only challenging but also really interesting. I will tell you some of my experience with Carlsberg Tomorrow Leader Competition.
To become a management trainee you must pass 4 rounds, and each round has its own unique feature.
Round 1 (Online Application): to make your CV attracting the attention of employers, besides impressive format, the most important factor is who you are. In addition to your academic achievement, you should show that you are a dynamic, creative, studious person and you have a leadership potential. These aforementioned important virtues are demonstrated by the social activities and volunteer works that you have participated in or your role at clubs, class, unions...
Round 2: (Online test) the online test usually includes the following types:
• Logical Reasoning test: like IQ test;
• Numerical reasoning test: this part is related to numbers so you will be able to read charts with different formats such as a table, column, circle, etc., including business figures;
• Verbal reasoning test: this part is quite similar to the IELTS reading test (TRUE-FALSE-NOT GIVEN).
A small tip is that you can also pass these tests if you practice hard. IQ tests can be practiced, but don't think that only smart person can do it. In fact, when you practice, you will gradually become familiar with common types of logic, and when you are given a similar question, finding the answer will not be too difficult.

Round 3: (Initial interview) In terms of this round, you need to have good interview skills and confidence. The interviewer will normally ask for some specialized knowledge related to the position or department that you want to apply for. To pass this round, you need to be well prepared before participating in the interview.
+ Find out clearly what position you want to apply and some information related to the company.
+ You need to review and read more specialized knowledge related to your department that you want to apply.
+ Ask yourself a lot of hypothetical questions related to difficult situations that you will encounter in your department and find out the solutions to those questions yourself.
+ Finally, the most important job interview skill is that you have to be yourself.
Round 4: (Assessment center and Indept-interview)
Assessment center (Including Teamwork and situation handling) You and other candidates will receive a situational question, the mission of your team is to discuss and present the solution to the company's leadership team. In this part, besides the ability of teamwork, you have to show your opinions, you need to shine in your way, especially in a rigorous competition such as Carlsberg Tomorrow Leader. You do not need to talk too much or interrupt others rudely but you need to know when you need to raise ideas... Don’t be silent. If you are silent it means you are giving the opportunity to others.
In-depth interview : you will have the opportunity to discuss directly to the director of each department that you apply, when you pass this round, you certainly have 50% opportunity to win. The final importance is that you have to prove you are the most suitable candidate for this position.
Finally, I really love the quote “If you want something you've never had. You must be willing to do something you've never done.
Hope to see and work with you at Carlsberg's Vietnam.
